(Pocket-lint) - OnePlus is getting ready to launch his next phone in its usual way: by drip-feeding information to the point where by the time the OnePlus 10T launches, we'll already know all the details.
In some posts on its OnePlus Community forum, it has given an in-depth look at the specs and performance of the camera, as well as a post on the design and form.
As seems to be the norm with OnePlus lately, we get two colors: black and green. Specifically, OnePlus calls them Moonstone Black and Jade Green.
How many phones from its parent company Oppo, the rear design features a large camera unit with curved glass around the edges to give it that seamless ramp effect.
Longtime OnePlus fans will be disappointed that the Alert slider isn't present on the OnePlus 10T. The company dropped it, saying it needed to make more room in the phone for the larger motherboard.
It claims that in order to keep the alarm slider and also add the improvements in battery capacity, charging speed, and antenna signal, it should have stacked the motherboard and then made the device considerably thicker.
For charging, OnePlus states that it uses two internal charge pumps to enable charging, as opposed to the single pump in the OnePlus 10 Pro. This practically confirms that it's charging at 150W showed up earlier this yearand also started in the OnePlus Ace in China.
In terms of camera specs, OnePlus positions this phone differently than the OnePlus 10 Pro. Meaning: This phone is about raw power and speed. So if you want the best camera, the 10 Pro is a better choice.
The 10T's primary sensor will feature the Sony IMX766 sensor, a 50-megapixel sensor that we've used on several OnePlus and Oppo phones. It's a very good sensor and actually the same as found in the ultrawide camera of the 10 Pro and the The dual system of Oppo Find X5 Pro.
Oddly enough, the 10T doesn't feature Hasselblad branding anywhere, so doesn't use the camera company's color processing like the 10 Pro and Oppo Find X5 Pro.
OnePlus 10T will be unveiled at an event in New York on August 3rd.
