Louth jobs are rising as US firm Kaseya announces 250 new jobs at its Dundalk base

Dundalk is poised for a huge job boost as IT management and security software company Kaseya confirmed it will create 250 new jobs at its center of excellence in the city.

The jobs are due to be created over the next three years and it will be the second center in Ireland for the US company, already operating in Dublin.

Tánaiste and Enterprise, Trade and Employment Minister Leo Varadkar TD said: “This is excellent news. It demonstrates Kaseya's commitment to Ireland and the attractiveness of Dundalk as an investment location. It's also a real vote of confidence in the existing Kaseya team here - I'm sure it was their hard work that gave the company the confidence to continue to expand. Kaseya has experienced remarkable growth over the past few years and I wish the team continued success with the new Dundalk office.”

The highly skilled positions include 250 engineering, technical support and sales positions, particularly new customer acquisition, as well as positions in all corporate services. Kaseya will work closely with university partners in the region to train students for the positions and nurture the next generation of technology professionals in the region.

"We saw a tremendous opportunity to expand the technology ecosystem in Ireland - we're already in Dublin - and decided to open a second office in Dundalk," said Fred Voccola, CEO of Kaseya. We plan to attract top tech talent and build a solid workforce pipeline in the local community. We are excited about this partnership, which will expand Kaseya's presence in Ireland, where Kaseya has its roots. In 2016, the company established its EMEA headquarters in Dublin for the first time.”

Kaseya saw the potential in Ireland and decided to expand its operations with this second location in Dundalk to act as a center of excellence with a focus on research and development. The Dundalk office will support a fast growing engineering team and contribute to economic development in the region.

Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said: “Thanks to Kaseya's positive experience establishing a facility in Dublin, the company has selected Dundalk as the location for its second Irish site. This is very good news for the entire region and the skilled and talented workforce that resides there. I wish Kaseya every success with this expansion.”

Kaseya successfully ran a similar program in the US in Miami, Florida, where the company is headquartered. In two short years, Kaseya has grown its Miami operations from 150 to over 600 employees and now occupies over 150,000 square feet to support its growth plan.

"Following this extremely successful program with the support of IDA Ireland, Kaseya is confident that this initiative will be another success bringing economic growth to the region," said the company's CEO.
