Software company Kaseya is creating 250 new jobs at Dundalk's center of excellence

Software company Kaseya will create 250 new jobs after choosing Dundalk as the location for its new center of excellence.

The new functions at the company's second Irish site, which is expected to become operational over the next three years, will focus on engineering, technical support and sales.

The Dundalk Center of Excellence will focus on research and development for Kaseya, a global provider of unified IT management and security software for managed service providers and midsize businesses.

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar said the company's expansion in Ireland "demonstrates Kaseya's commitment to Ireland and the attractiveness of Dundalk as an investment location".

“It's also a real vote of confidence in the existing Kaseya team here – I'm sure it was their hard work that gave the company the confidence to continue to expand. Kaseya has experienced remarkable growth over the past few years and I wish the team continued success with the new Dundalk office.”

Kaseya said it will work closely with university partners in the region to train students for the positions and "grow the next generation of technology professionals in the region."

The company's Chief Executive, Fred Voccola, said Kaseya saw a "tremendous opportunity to expand the technology ecosystem in Ireland".

“We plan to attract top tech talent and build a robust workforce pool in the local community.

“We are excited about this partnership, which will expand Kaseya's presence in Ireland, where Kaseya has its roots. In 2016, the company established its EMEA headquarters in Dublin for the first time.”

The project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland, with IDA CEO Martin Shanahan also welcoming the development.

"Thanks to Kaseya's positive experience establishing a facility in Dublin, the company chose Dundalk as the location for its second Irish office," he said.

“This is very good news for the entire region and the skilled and talented workforce that resides there. I wish Kaseya every success with this expansion.”
