Twitter is increasingly the price of its Twitter Blue subscription service from $2.99 to $4.99 per month. From October, existing subscribers will have to pay more. New users currently have to pay the increased rate.
Besides the US, the price increase also applies to other countries such as Australia, Canada and New Zealand with new fees of 6.99 AUD (previously 4.49 AUD), 6.49 CAD (previously 3.49 CAD) and 6.49 NZD (previously $4.49).

Subscribers get features like “undo send” that lets you fix a tweet in a specific time slot, custom icons and navigation bars, and the ability to change yours profile picture to a NFT, Ad-free articles within the Twitter Blue Publisher Network and access to top articles shared by your network.
Twitter has been emailing subscribers about this price change for the past few days.
"This change helps us continue to develop some of the features you've been asking for, improve the current ones you already love, and maintain our mission of supporting journalism," the email reads . Several user criticized Twitter's move saying current features aren't enough to justify the price - maybe an edit button might change that mind.
The company first launched Twitter Blue in Canada and Australia last June with extension on the US and New Zealand last November. Twitter hasn't released numbers on how many users have paid for this service, and it doesn't do it separately disclose subscription revenue in its quarterly reports. A report by analytics company SensorTower found this to be the case Snapchat+which was launched on June 29, 2022 is already available perform better than Twitter Blue.
