The iPhone 14, the next phone expected in Apple's 2022 flagship line, has already inspired dozens of rumors about it draft, Price and new functions (possibly it will finally be stepless, with Touch ID). But what if it actually hits the market? At this stage in its development cycle, most leaks and rumors should probably be taken with a pinch of salt. Apple tends to launch its new iPhones on either the first or second Tuesday in September. Last year, the iPhone 13 series officially debuted on Tuesday September 14th, followed by pre-orders starting Friday September 17th, and then the phones went on sale the following Friday September 24th. For the iPhone 14, Apple could hold its fall event on either Tuesday 6th September or Tuesday 13th September. As iPhones are usually pre-ordered on Fridays of the same week, we expect this to happen on Friday 13th September next year. 9, or Friday 16 September. iPhone release dates are usually a week and a half after Apple's announcements. Sometimes the launch dates for certain models are staggered, especially when a new design or size is introduced. So it's possible that the iPhone 14 range has more than one release date.

There is also another theory that has been floating around for a number of years. In 2018, CNET dug deep into the Apple events timeline and came out with a compelling result Labor Day Hypothesis. Based on the 2022 calendar, the Labor Day rule would place Apple's September event (and the iPhone 14 reveal) on Wednesday, September 7th, with a release date of Friday, September 16th. However, the Labor Day prediction was one week free for 2021 -- and due to delays caused by the coronavirus about a month off in 2020. Certainly, there have been some reported issues in the iPhone 14 supply chain, with some concerns potentially pushing the release date later. However, prominent Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo has allayed some of those fears by saying it should only have a "limited" impact July post on Twitter.
