Will Netflix Paid Unblocking Be the End for VPNs?

Netflix has announced it will be testing users' one home per account limit, with the option to add an additional home for a small fee. The process begins in August 2022 in a few Latin American and Caribbean countries and, if successful, may be rolled out globally. What does this mean for VPN users?

The Add Home update

This update is big news for Netflix users who have become accustomed to sharing their accounts with as many people as they want. According to Netflix press release, this new update will restrict each account to a "home," which we assume is a single physical location. As it stands now, you can add as many locations as you want to watch Netflix from your account, but you can only have one active at a time.
