Resourcely helps automate security so developers can focus on coding –...


When Resourcely co-founder and CEO Travis McPeak worked at Netflix, he recognized a significant tension that existed between security and speed. When you're moving fast you really tend to damage things and security suffers. During his time at Netflix, he helped build a system that integrated security.

He knew safety was essential, but he also knew his team couldn't stand in the way of speed and innovation. He and his team wanted to ease those tensions by automating them so developers can just focus on writing code, knowing the security is in place.

Eventually, he decided to team up with former colleague Aladdin Almubayed, who previously ran security at Robinhood, Netflix, and Verizon, to found Resourcely to bring the same type of solution they built at Netflix to the masses. Today, the company announced an $8 million seed round.

McPeak says the idea is to make it easy to write secure code by building in security policies...
